Sailing Charters
Sailing is fun! People sail to reach different places and meet new friends. It can also be a great way to spend quality time with family and loved ones. It has become a popular means of seeing the world while enjoying a nice journey across the calming water.
Sailing Charter basically means renting a Sailboat or yacht with the aim to travel in coastal or other island locations. A large number of families and couples look for Sailing Charters each year. A number of activities can be enjoyed like swimming, snorkeling and Scuba Diving. Swimming is allowed but it comes with a few restrictions. You may be required to wear a life jacket for safety reasons and there are age limits for some activities for children. Snorkeling and Scuba Diving are two of the many reasons why people choose to rent private yacht because they get to enjoy a private underwater activity. Most companies require a Scuba Diving certificate before they will allow someone to go Snorkeling or Diving.
There are two main things to consider in chartering - bareboat and crewed.
- Bareboat – This term is used when a group or individual charters a boat and then goes on with the trip on his or her own accord. Of course, you should have experience and the ability to handle the type of Sailboat or yacht you want to charter. Less experienced people can learn from numerous bareboat companies that provide lessons on basic seaman skills.
- In a crewed charter, there’s a yacht and you are the guest. It already comes with a crew who will take care of you while onboard. You will be pampered by different crew members, such as a chef, engineer, deckhands, and sometimes a scuba dive expert. You don’t have to worry about anything.
Plan accordingly so you can secure the best deals in chartering and be wise enough to keep an eye on weather reports.
